(Hong Kong, December 3, 2013) Hong Kong’s Craft Racing has stamped their commitment to the Asian Le Mans Series by entering 3 cars in the 2013 season finale in Sepang, Malaysia. The two green Aston Martin Vantage GT3’s will take to the grid in the GTC class along with a brand new Craft Entry in an Oreca-Nissan Prototype in LMP2.

Leading the charge in the Craft Racing Aston Martin Vantage GT3 will be the full season entry, #007 driven by AMR factory pilot Stefan Mücke and Japan’s Keita Sawa. The driver pairing have proven strong the entire season and have clawed their way back up to 2nd in the team standings after a disappointing DNF in Korea. The team will be looking for a class victory as this weekends results will be the deciding factor in the fight for the coveted 24 hours of Le Mans entry invitation.

Stefan Mücke states, “It has been a close fight all season long, and although we have been quick all year, we ran into some trouble in the opening round. We have worked so hard to fight back and now in the finale, we are looking for a strong performance to close out the 24 Hours of Le Mans entry for Craft Racing.

Running alongside #007 will be the second Craft Racing entry of the #009 Aston Martin Vantage GT3 with a trio of drivers Frank Yu, Darryl O’Young, and Tomonobu Fujii. The 3 drivers have seen success together earlier this year at the 24 hours of Dubai with a podium finish, and this 3-hour endurance will serve as strong preparation for Craft Racing’s entry into the same race in January 2014.

Hong Kong’s Darryl O’Young commented, “Craft Racing has come a long way as a team in our first full season of endurance racing. We have more experience, communication, and teamwork so in this final race of the season, we will be looking to demonstrate this by putting together a flawless race for the team.”

For the first time, Craft Racing will expand their program beyond the GT category in the Asian Le Mans Series by entering the LMP2 class with an Oreca-Nissan Prototype. For this task, Craft Racing has assembled a talented driver line-up of young and quick drivers. Richard Bradley whom brings with him experience behind the wheel of the LMP2, will be joined by China's Pu Jun Jin and Ireland's Dan Polley. Although it will be a new experience for Craft Racing, the team remains upbeat on the possibility of a surprise victory in Malaysia.

Richard Bradley stated, “I’m very happy to be driving for Craft in their LMP2 debut and working with my good friends from my Formula BMW days. I am very excited to be going back to Sepang where I had lots of success in the past and teaming up with Pu Jun Jin and Dan Polley, I see no reason why we can’t fight for the overall win.”

Craft Racing Team Principal, Mark Goddard stated, "GT racing is Craft's main priority due to our strong partnership with Aston Martin Racing, but we have high ambitions for our team so we are exploring opportunities to enter LMP2 and LMPC for the future in parallel with our GT program.

When this chance came to us with the LMP2, we thought it was perfect for our team to demonstrate our abilities and to gain more experience. Our lead engineer ran an LM P2 at this year’s Le Mans 24 Hours and the team are multiple F3 champions, therefore we are well practiced at running high downforce sophisticated cars. Murphy Prototypes will also provide some technical assistance and I have to thank Greg Murphy for helping make this happen. We are happy Richard Bradley, Pu Jun Jin and Dan Polley will be driving for us on our LMP2 debut.”

Official free practice begins on Thursday Dec 5th, followed by qualifying on Saturday December 7th at 10:45am. The green flag drops on Sunday 3pm for the 3 hour endurance race.
