Ho-Pin Tung, David Cheng win in Asian Le Mans
Drivers take OAK team to victory at Shanghai.

Asian Le Mans Series
Three for three: Fastest in practice, qualifying on the pole, and victory in the race.
This hat trick was accomplished by the Oak Racing Team Total, with drivers Ho-Pin Tung and David Cheng in the third race of the Asian Le Mans Series championship, at the Shanghai circuit. With this third victory out of three races the 2014 championship is a realistic possibility.
David Cheng drove the first stint of 90 minutes hours and he came in well ahead of the closest competitors of Team Eurasia. After their driver change to Pu Jun Jin, Eurasia was able to close the gap to 1 lap.
Ho-Pin Tung prevails
However, after OAK’s Ho-Pin Tung took over the LMP2-Morgan Judd, at 1 hour 30 mins, and produced some very fast and steady lap times, he was to bring his team home to the checkered flag in first place.
"At first sight this victory looks easy, but the Shanghai track is very demanding for the left front tyres, which means the difficult combination of fast en carefull racing. But no doubt this was a very good weekend," Ho-Pin Tung said. "The entire team did very well. The title is now in sight."
Ho-Pin Tung will remain in Shanghai because he will race next weekend in a Porsche Carrera Cup Asia race at the same track.
