KC Motorgroup Ltd. (KCMG) returns to Malaysia this week for the season finale of Asian Le Mans Series at Sepang International Circuit. After claiming the GTAm title with their Porsche GT3 Porsche Cup car, the Hong Kong-based outfit heads to the world-class 5.543km F1 track to wrap up a successful season in Asia’s premiere sportscar endurance racing series.

This time, KCMG’s Paul Ip will share driving duties with 2013 Formula Masters Macau Grand Prix Challenge winner Akash Nandy and Chinese ace Yuan Bo in the team’s final push to seal a perfect 2015/2016 season in Asian Le Mans on January 23 - 24. The Malaysian driver, who competed in FIA F3 European Championship last year and represented KCMG in the 2013 season of Formula Masters China Series, is looking forward to rejoin the team at his home circuit this weekend.

Twenty cars are set to make up Asian Le Mans’ grid at Sepang, with a Lamborghini Huracan Super Trofeo car entering the GTAm class. Track action starts with two free practice sessions followed by Qualifying on Saturday, with the much-anticipated three hour finale starting at 14:30 local on Sunday.

Paul Ip: “It’s great to be back at Sepang and we’re set to conclude the season on a high note! Yuan and I are also happy to welcome Akash in the team this weekend - it will be interesting to see him race in the Porsche at his home track. The team is all set for an exciting closing event and cap off the weekend and season with a strong performance.”

Akash Nandy: “I’m thrilled to rejoin KCMG for Asian Le Mans Series’ Sepang round and share the Porsche GT3 with Paul and Yuan this weekend. I’ve represented the team back in 2013 for Formula Masters and I’ve built a strong relationship with them since then. To compete in the 3 Hours of Sepang with the team is another great opportunity and I’m really looking forward to working once again with KCMG and deliver top results!”

Yuan Bo: “I’m looking forward to another exciting weekend with the team and to compete in my second Asian Le Mans race with Paul and this time, Akash. We had a short break after the Buriram round, but I’m eager to be back in the car and finish the series’ final race with positive results.”

John O’Hara, KCMG Asian Le Mans Series Team Manager: “We are back at Sepang for Asian Le Mans’ finale to cap off a successful season running in the GTAm class. We’ve had a good run with the Porsche GT3 and to have Akash this weekend to share the car with Paul and Yuan will be truly exciting to follow.”
