Nine cars in San Jose

The Grand Prix of San Jose is this weekend and Gelles Racing will feature another premiere: both ladder series will be part of the same race card. The Formula BMW USA will present its fifth double header of the season while the Champ Car Atlantic will stage its ninth round. This means Gelles Racing will enter six drivers in the best entry-level series in North America while Fleming and Pecorari will enter the #14 eSoles/King Taco and #28 Western Union/USA Today Atlantic single seaters respectively. Phil Geibler will be racing a singular event in the #42 car with sponsorship provided by Jos. J. Albanese, Inc. where the motto is "We just get it done!"

"We're going to have busy weekends in San Jose and Denver, completed Gelles, but at least they will all be in the same Western swing. We are looking for a win in the BMW USA series and another win in the Champ Car Atlantic series. It will be a suitable moment in the season for the younger BMW boys to look up to the Atlantic and wonder if this is the next step they want to reach."

A busy schedule

Racing schedule, beside practice and qualifying sessions starting early Friday, the first BMW USA race Saturday is at 1:00 pm and the second on Sunday at 3:50 pm. The ninth Champ Car Atlantic round will go green in its usual Sunday morning slot at 10:30 am.

In 2006, Gelles Racing enters the Champ Car Atlantic Championship with a two-car effort and the Formula BMW USA Championship with six cars.
