Portland II: Ryan Lewis race notes

Another great result for Ryan Lewis

Ryan Lewis finished in fifth place in the second race of the Portland double-header last weekend. After a fantastic podium finish in race one, Ryan was pleased to bag more points in race two and leaves Portland in high spirits.

"I think we had a great car today,' said Ryan. 'We made a call on the start to change a roll bar setting which really helped when it was a bit greasy in the beginning, but in the end hindered us a little bit in some of the corners with a bit too much understeer. Overall the car was really good and I found it very easy to drive. I found myself keeping the pace with the guys in the front, but unfortunately I pulled a bit of gap on the restarts. It's good to come away this weekend with some solid points in the bag.'

"I don't think we had a car for a win in today's race, but full credit to Ryan and the boys,' said Derrick Walker. 'They got the most out of what we had. The car ran flawlessly and we came away with a good, solid finish. I think we've got to be happy with that, coming out of the weekend with some more points.'

Ryan's next race is at Cleveland in two weeks' time where he will be looking to make his mark again on the Champ Car Atlantic podium.
