Former Audi LMP1 driver Marco Bonanomi will join the Australian GT Championship grid for the next round in Western Australia.
The Italian has signed on with the JAMEC PEM Audi Customer Racing squad for the Barbagallo Raceway round, as a replacement driver for Christopher Mies, the German tied yup with Blancpain commitments in the UK.
That means Bonanomi will share an Audi R8 LMS with Geoff Emery.
"I'm really excited to race for the first time in Australia, and to have to opportunity to work with the JAMEC PEM Audi Customer Racing team," Bonanomi said.
"I've heard a lot of good things about the team and can't wait to join them and help their fight for the championship.
"It should be a great challenge!"
Sportscar ace Bonanomi has a solid past with Audi, which includes finishing third outright at Le Mans in 2012 alongside Oliver Jarvis and Mike Rockenfeller.
