EU3000: Draco Junior team Brno qualifying report

Brno, first qualifying of 2004 season : Pastorelli third, Ippoliti tenth

While the Czech Republic celebrates the entry in Europe, the Superfund- Euro3000 Championship opens its first qualifying here in Brno. The Draco drivers commit theirself to this debut, but they don't secceeded to take the pole position.

A touch of disappointment to Nicky Pastorelli, qualified third, who comments: "I'm not pleased, I expected a better result, but my second set of tyres betrayed to me ! I have confidence in the race, we'll see tomorrow."

His team-mate Fausto Ippoliti qualified tenth, with the intention to make a comeback. At the end of the session he said :"I'm angry with myself, because of my emotionalism I haven't made the most of my possibilities. But I'm sure that tomorrow I'll make my best."

Nadia Morini comments like that the vanishing pole-position because of the Pastorelli's second set of tyres:" I have to say that Nicky Pastorelli has holden the pole almost till the qualifying end, but he had problems with the second set of tyres, it's a pity. We'll see tomorrow the race, our drivers are satisfied with their setup, I hope for the best."
