Weather: cloudy
Temperatures: air 18°C/ track 26°C
Team Draco leads the provisional pole in both test sessions.
On the French circuit of Magny-Cours (F1 track) Team Draco led the provisional test classifications with the Brazilian Augusto Farfus, today.
During the first session 13 cars got the track under a cloudy and quite cold weather and in session 2 also the B&C team joined the session for a total of 15 cars.
The German Sven Heidfeld, who had never raced on this circuit, spent session 1 in learning the track and the breaking points and begun to set-up his car for session 2 when, with new tyres, he run 5 laps only. A stupid mistake, in fact, ended his test session before the chequered flag. Sven's fastest lap time remained 1:31.103 signed during the first minutes of the second session.
Lola n°8 driven by Augusto Farfus, set the fastest time of both the test sessions and cemented the provisional pole in 1:29.835. No one was able to make an attempt to his performance thanks to his constant advantage of some tenths.
Team Draco is quite satisfied about today test and is confident, tomorrow, to secure a goos position on the grid with Heidfeld, too.
