EU3000: Draco Racing Pergusa Friday notes

The Italian Team Draco stays on provisional pole

Conditions were dry and sunny (despite the wind) today for the testing session of Round 3 at Pergusa.

This is the first Italian event programmed this year in the Euro 3000 Series calendar and the Italian team Draco left the factory in Pontremoli (Massa Carrara) confident in an another brilliant result.

In this testing session Brazilian Augusto Farfus was able to convert the morning work on his car into provisional pole with a quick time of 1:30.83 signed with new tires, as most of the other drivers. His fastest time, recorded in the second session and picked up of almost 2 seconds, proved he is on the right way for tomorrow qualifying.

His team mate Sven Heidfeld set a fastest time of 1:31.40 that assured him the 4th best position. Unfortunately a mistake committed during the first lap out with new tires, deprived him of more than 10 minutes of the testing session. Despite of this Team Draco declared his satisfaction for the job done by the German Heidfeld.
