EU3000: GP Racing Fiorano test notes

GP Racing's ran its last test session in Fiorano before the championship begins in Estoril.

In just one week , the teams who will participate in the Euro 3000 Series will meet on the Portuguese race track in Estoril for their first race of the season. GP Racing chose the Fiorano race track to fine tune its car and to find the right feeling with its Russian driver Roman Rusinov and its Italian driver Fabrizio Del Monte.

The results have been positive. The Venetian team managed to improve its time by more than a second compare to last year's time on the same track.

Tancredi Pagiaro , Team manager
"I'm very satisfied with today's results. The relationship that we are building with the race car drivers is getting better day by day and their results prove this. They have both managed to improve the time that was recorded last year by Martin Basso. I don't want to make any predictions but I believe that all of these pre- championship tests can be the ideal beginning for future success."

Roman Rusinov:
"I definitely agree with Tancredi that this has been a great test session right before my debut. The lack of any car problems allowed us to experiment different technical ideas. However, I must admit that I'm disappointed that I wasn't able to take full advantage of the new set of tyres that we had at the end of the session. Nonetheless, this experience will come in handy in Estoril."

Fabrizio Del Monte:
"I'm very happy both for the team and for myself. Everything went smoothly here in Fiorano. The right balance of the car with the new tyres, allowed me to set a good time. I'm now ready to compete in Estoril. Compared to Roman, I don't know the track but my good feeling with the car and the team will replace this absence."
