A New Life For The Lola T96/50 That Belonged To Gabriele Gardel.
The Lola T96/50's last race was in 2001 in the Euro Series Championship. Thomas Biagi and Gabriele Gardel were behind the wheel of this car and they competed with GP Racing.
The car was then later replaced by the Lola B99/ 50 and the latter has now been used for the championship. The single seater that was driven by Gabriele Gardel has now been passed on to Uccio Magliona.Uccio Magliona competed in the prototype categories in the 70's and 80's and presently is the CEO and founder of the Franco Di Suni Race track in Sardegna,Italy .
At the Origiano factory, GP Racing's technicians overhauled the car and put in an Alfa Romeo 6 cilinder engine with 350 horsepower. Besides the engine, none of original pieces were replaced. Uccio will have the chance to race with the same car that Gabriele Gardel and GP Racing used in the 2000 and 2001 championship.
