Alex Lloyd topped the timesheets after the Official Free Practice session at the Circuit Dijon-Prenois in France for round seven of the SUPERFUND Euro 3000 championship. The one-hour Qualifying session takes place this afternoon at 14:40.

The John Village Automotive drivers continued their strong form after setting the pace in yesterday's two Free Practice sessions. Under sunny skies, British driver Alex Lloyd dominated the session from the start to post the fastest time of 01:08.960. Kiwi team mate Jonny Reid followed nearly a second behind with a 1:09.720. Third on the timesheets was Dutch- Italian driver, Nicky Pastorelli of Draco Junior Team setting a time of 01:09.851.

Alex Lloyd, John Village Automotive:

"This morning's session went perfectly for me. The car felt better today in the cooler conditions and we were actually quicker this morning than we were yesterday with new tyres. I did just enough laps to feel confidant going into Qualifying and if the weather stays dry, we're in for a good afternoon."

Jonny Reid, John Village Automotive:

"To be honest, this morning was a bit up and down for me. I got caught in traffic in the early stages so it was hard to get a clean lap. Alex found a space and managed to get a fast time in which is good for him, good for the team but not so good for me! I felt pretty relaxed out there and I'm glad for the team that we're both up there at the top of the timesheets. It's going to be a fantastic weekend!"

Nicky Pastorelli, Draco Junior Team:

"That was much better than yesterday although we still have a lot of work to do. Except for Alex, the rest of the competition is pretty tight so this afternoon should be really exciting. My times are getting faster every time I go out on track so if I can improve even more in Qualifying, I will be very happy. The most important thing for me is to stay ahead of Fabrizio Del Monte so I gain more points for the Championship."
