Markus Pommer scored his second career Auto GP pole today at Monza. The Super Nova driver, who had made it to a breakthrough pole at Budapest, managed to do it all again in round 4 of the 2014 series, winning an exciting challenge with rookie Christofer von Grunigen. The Swissman, making his Auto GP debut, showed he’s up to a new and demanding challenge.

Row 2 will be shared by to home representatives, Kevin Giovesi (Eurotech) and Michela Cerruti. Driving for Super Nova, the Italian female racer repeated Budapest’s good qualifying showing.

Hungarian Tamas Pal Kiss (Zele Racing) will be called to a comeback race to keep his championship rival Pommer at bay, and to capitalize from the absence of championship leader Kimiya Sato. Kiss will share Row 3 with Andrea Roda (Virtuosi UK), while Euronova’s Japanese combo of Shinya Michimi and Yoshitaka Kuroda will round out Row 4. The top-10 on the grid will be completed by Michele La Rosa (MLR71 by Euronova) and Giuseppe Cipriani (Ibiza Racing Team).

Three drivers did not make it to Q2. Francesco Dracone, driving for Super Nova, missed the cut by a narrow margin (0.006s), and he will be followed on tomorrow’s Race 1 grid by Loris Spinelli (Eurotech) and Samin Gomez (Zele Racing).

The Teams and Drivers will be up for some more action tomorrow. The 17-lap long Race 1 will be starting at 15:35. Race 2, scheduled on a 15-lap distance, will round out the weekend at 11:20 on Sunday.

Tanks to the decision taken by the weekend’s promoters, the access to the circuit will be free enabling the fans to join their favorite drivers and see the Auto GP cars in first person.
