PHOENIX, Saturday, Feb. 9, 2002 - Bombardier Recreational Products will be the title sponsor of the Indy Racing League event March 17 at Phoenix International Raceway, the Bombardier ATV Copper World Indy 200.

"This really is a perfect marketing partnership," said Robin Braig, PIR executive vice president and general manager. "Race enthusiasts across Arizona already use the great products that Bombardier produces, including the award-winning Bombardier® ATV all-terrain vehicles, Sea-Doo® personal watercraft and sport boats and even Ski-Doo® snowmobiles. Bombardier will now be able to connect with these consumers even more.

"We are very pleased that Bombardier has come on board with Phoenix International Raceway. I know they're already involved with Kelley Racing as an associate sponsor, and I'm glad to see they've expanded their involvement to the track level. What better way to strengthen their Indy Racing commitment than by backing an event that's been coming to PIR since 1964."

The Bombardier ATV Copper World Indy 200 will take place March 15-17. The Indy Racing League event March 17 is the featured event, with races from the USAC National Midget Series, USAC Weld Racing Silver Crown Series and SRL supermodified series forming the most diverse weekend of open-wheel racing in America.

"At its core, Bombardier Recreational Products is about passion and fun," said Pierre Arsenault, vice president of marketing for Bombardier Recreational Products. "Clearly that is a perfect fit with racing enthusiasts. We are excited to be working with such strong partners in the Indy Racing League and Phoenix International Raceway."

Bombardier Recreational Products designs, develops, builds, distributes and markets Ski-Doo* and Lynx* snowmobiles, snowgrooming equipment and multipurpose tracked vehicles, Bombardier* all-terrain vehicles, Sea-Doo* watercraft and sport boats, Bombardier Fish Hawk(tm) fishing boats, and the Evinrude* and Johnson* outboard marine engines and the Ficht Ram Injection* technology.

Tickets for the Bombardier ATV Copper World Indy 200 are available now by calling (602) 252-2227, at www.phoenixinternationalraceway.com or at the Phoenix International Raceway ticket office located at the Arizona Center, 3rd Street and Van Buren, in downtown Phoenix.
