Advanced Composites Group (ACG) and McLaren International are pleased to announce the extension of their current Partnership which will see the two companies continue their relationship on a long term basis.

ACG is based in Derbyshire, England and supplies the European market and has a facility in Tulsa, Oklahoma covering the American region. ACG is a leading supplier of high performance composite materials, tooling, design solutions, training and R&D. The company initially became involved with McLaren in 1999 and the recent Partnership extension means ACG will continue in its role as an Official Supplier.

"In the current economic climate, it's extremely satisfying that ACG has become another of our Partners who has decided to extend its relationship with the West McLaren Mercedes team," said Martin Whitmarsh, Managing Director of McLaren International. "As approximately 85% of the West McLaren Mercedes Formula One cars are constructed from carbon fibre materials our relationship with ACG is extremely important and we have complete faith in their products. We are all looking forward to the start of the 2003 season and with a company like ACG on-board our challenge can only be stronger."

Alan Moore, Managing Director of Advanced Composites Group said, "The Formula One industry is always regarded as being at the forefront of technical innovation. This has certainly been the case with composite materials considering the advances in structural performance and safety seen over recent years.

"Our relationship with McLaren is of tremendous value. Not only does the constant drive for improvements from McLaren's engineers help fuel our own product development and understanding, but also the McLaren brand is a powerful tool in helping us promote our technologies into other markets just starting to take advantage of the benefits that composite materials can bring."
