ISC CHIEF OPERATING OFFICER JOHN SAUNDERS ADDED TO USAC'S BOARD

INDIANAPOLIS -- John Saunders, Senior Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of International Speedway Corporation, is the newest member of USAC' s Board of Directors. The announcement of his addition to the board came at today's annual USAC Board Meeting in the club's Speedway, Ind. headquarters.

"We are delighted to welcome John to our board," said Board Chairman John Capels. "His expertise will be valuable as we move into our second half-century of motorsports activity."

The announcement of Saunders' post highlighted the meeting during which current board members Henry C. Ryder and Jeff Stoops were re-elected to three-year terms. Ryder has served as USAC's General Counsel since 1970 and has been a board member for the past 23 years, serving as secretary since 1978. Stoops is President and CEO of Stoops Freightliner-Quality Trailer, Inc. and he owns two USAC National Sprint car owner championships.

Saunders leads all marketing, sales, administration and operations of ISC and served as Senior Vice President of Operations for the company from 1999-2003. In 1999 he oversaw the integration of Penske Motorsports' facilities in 1999. In 1980 he joined Corning Incorporated as Manager of Merchandising and Food Services in Corning, N.Y. and in 1983 was named President of the motorsports facility at Watkins Glen which had been purchased by then, Corning Glassworks and ISC. He continues to serve as Chairman and Director at WGI and holds several other executive positions within the company. In 1999 he was named ISC's Senior Vice President of Operations and in 2002 he was named Vice Chairman, Board of Directors International Motor Racing Research Center.

The Board also presented an appreciation plaque to retired Chairman Robert Moorhead in recognition of his long tenure and service to USAC.

In other board action, the club's financial report was reviewed and presented an optimistic outlook for USAC, which completed its first half-century of operation in 2005. Rules for the 2006 USAC racing season which were presented and reviewed at the October Board Meeting, were also ratified.

The 2006 USAC racing season begins Jan. 21-22 with the 29th running of the "Copper World Classic" at Phoenix (Ariz.) International Raceway.
