Miami Grand Prix named Autosport’s Promoter of the Year

Miami Grand Prix wins the Promoter of the Year Award at the 38th Autosport Awards

Autosport Awards

The Autosport Awards are a series of awards presented by motor racing magazine Autosport to drivers that have achieved significant milestones each season. Some of the presentations are selected by the general public via a reader's poll.

Miami Grand Prix took home the coveted Autosport Promoter of the Year Award at the 38th Autosport Awards in London, coming out on top in a highly competitive field.

A panel of independent expert judges found that the race, which celebrated its fourth edition in 2025, had made the biggest step forward out of the shortlisted nominees, especially in comparison to the first race held in 2022.

The judges liked the way that Miami consistently strives to improve its fan experience and range of ticket options, is one of the most proactive in dealing with the media, and attends a lot of other GPs and events around the world to learn ways to upgrade.

The team was led until the end of last season by Tyler Epp, who has now taken a senior commercial role at Cadillac F1 Team. Katharina Nowak, who worked with Epp on all four Miami GPs, was promoted to replace him as CEO of the Grand Prix and she was present on the night to collect the award.

“Wow! Thank you, what an absolute honour this is for us,” Nowak said, having picked up the award presented by Sky Sports commentator David Croft.

"Thank you Autosport for this incredible honour, and for the incredible team we have in Miami – Stephen Ross and Tom Garfinkel.

"We share this award with the fellow promoters who inspire us and strive us on. And of course to Formula 1 too who allows us to do what we do.”

Other nominees in the category were last year’s winner, the Las Vegas GP, the 2023 award winner Silverstone, Goodwood and the Singapore GP.

The judging panel included Channel 4 F1 commentator Alex Jacques, Financial Times writer Sam Agini, sponsorship expert Matthew Marsh and Kate Beavan, former F1 Director of Hospitality and Experiences.

Other awards decided by expert judging panels include the Pioneering and Innovation Award and Brand Partnership of the Year.

Categories decided by fan voting include Driver of the Year, Rookie of the Year, Moment of the Year presented by Bahrain International Circuit, Competition Car of the Year, Rally Driver of the Year and British Competition Driver of the Year. Two new awards for 2025 are Team of the Year and Creator of the Year.
