Daniel Di Leo is looking to lock up second in the series championship this weekend in Montreal.

TORONTO, ON. -- Markham, Ontario resident Daniel Di Leo (Di Leo Auto Sport / Select Auto Collision / Autosports Media) will look to secure second place in the Barber Dodge Pro Series (BDPS) Championship over the August 22-24 weekend. The Molson Indy Montreal is the final series event in the BDPS and the third and final race in the inaugural Dodge Trans-Canada Challenge series. Di Leo and his fellow competitors will make the trek to Montreal, Quebec, Canada to compete on the 2.709 mile temporary road course 'Circuit Gilles Villeneuve' for the Molson Indy Montreal.

Di Leo, who is coming off a second place finish two weeks ago in the rain soaked event at the Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course will look to take that elusive step to the top of the podium once again this year. Daniel, who has one win this season, is in a tight points battle and currently sits in second place, just a mere nine markers ahead of Mexican driver Memo Rojas and thirteen points ahead of David Martinez.

The 21-year-old multi-time karting champion has been keeping in shape physically and mentally while honing his skills by doing several test laps for the First Kart North America race team in his 125cc ICC shifterkart.

Di Leo had a very strong run in Montreal last year in his first visit to the famed circuit in the final Canadian event. A mid-race incident shuffled the #19 car down to 9th position after taking the provisional pole. In his rookie year, Di Leo was able to make an exciting drive from mid-pack that saw him make some challenging passes to wind up 4th in the final tally.

Daniel will hit the track Friday August 22 at 8:00am for his first practice session of the weekend and he will look to put his Select Auto Dodge race car on the provision pole in first round qualifying at 12:45pm.
