Ralt F3 plans for British Grand Prix meeting.
The Ralt Formula 3 car will be back on track at the British Grand Prix support race at Silverstone on the 7th July with Sheffield's Charles Hall at the wheel. Although Charles has yet to race the F302, he tested a Ralt F3 in America.
Charles is due to drive the car this Wednesday (12th June) at Pembrey and then will take part in the official British Grand Prix F3 test day at Silverstone next Tuesday (18th June).
Twenty-one-year-old Charles' comment after visiting Ralt's Oxfordshire base for his seat fitting was: "I can't wait to get in the car for a proper test. Although I have only done a shake down in the current car, I was immediately impressed with it and know from the testing times it is competitive."
Charles' racing started in 1991 when he drove in the Cadet Kart series and won the race for this class at the British Kart Grand Prix. Since then he has raced a variety of cars including Formula Renault, Formula Vauxhall, Opel Lotus, Formula 3 and most recently Toyota Atlantic in the States.
Ralt was hoping to enter two of its British built cars for the race meeting, but regular tester, Andy Priaulx, is not able to drive due to racing and testing commitments for his BTCC team.
Charles Hall:
Although only 21-years-old Charles Hall already has ten years of racing experience behind him in a variety of karts and cars. At the age of eleven his father Bill, a former racing driver, bought him a Cadet Kart and he was immediately quick, winning the class at the British Kart Grand Prix. Since then he has raced in various formulae and has runner-up spots in both Formula Renault and Formula Vauxhall Championships to his name.
