SALVADOR DURAN DOMINATES IN BRITISH F-3!

SILVERSTONE, England (7 de octubre, 2005).- Telmex-backed driver Salvador Duran dominates first day of activities for last round of the British F-3 National Class Championship, which will feature two races at the 3.618-Km. Silverstone circuit located in England.

"We're having problems with the car and we can't find some traction, but the team is making a big effort and is trying to solve everything. Nevertheless, we were able to set the fastest lap in our class and 14th overall, and the top four in my class are very close," the Mexican said.

Salvador, current points leader is 24 points over Barton Mawer (268-244), with 42 points available for the last two races of the campaign, both two to be held on Sunday.

"Barton Mawer was fifth and 21st overall. We hope to qualify in the top 10 and go out to the first race more relaxed. We're ready for Sunday's races,! Telmex driver said.

If Duran captures the title, he would become the second Mexican driver to achieve it, since Fernando Plata in 1989, when the championship was called British Formula 3 "B" Class. However, Duran would become the youngest Mexican driver to get the crown, at age 19.
