Volkswagen driver Vergne dominant - 100th win for Volkswagen
in British F3
Jean-Eric Vergne was unbeatable during the sixth British Formula 3 Championship race weekend at Spa-Francorchamps. The Frenchman celebrated victory in all three races in his Dallara Volkswagen - a novelty that no other driver has achieved in this series. On top of this came pole position for the first race as well as two fastest race laps. Vergne's victory in the second race represented the 100th triumph for Volkswagen in the British Formula 3 Championship. James Calado with a brace of second places and Rupert Svendsen-Cook (both from Great Britain) with a third place clinched more podium places for Volkswagen. In the drivers' championship standings Vergne now leads with 251 points from Oliver Webb (Dallara Mercedes, 164 points) and Calado (152 points).

Tse and Boulaud win at Chengdu
The two race winners of the third Volkswagen Scirocco Cup China race weekend are called Kevin Tse and Patrick Boulaud. In the first 14 lap race on the Chengdu International Circuit the Chinese driver Tse won ahead of his countryman Sun Zheng and the Italian Andrea Reggiani. In the second race the Frenchman Boulaud was first ahead of Chinese Joseph Lo and Japanese Ida Masahiko in second and third places respectively.
Volkswagen Jetta TDI Cup
Gooden with second successive victory
Wyatt Gooden clinched his second consecutive victory in the Volkswagen Jetta TDI Cup. After winning the fifth race at Lexington the series newcomer triumphed again in the sixth round at Joliet. Around the Autobahn Country Club Gooden won by two seconds from his closest rival Jarvis Gennari after ten laps. Third was Kevin Gleason, like Gooden and Gennari also a series Rookie.
Porsche Supercup
Rast defends championship lead with third place
Things continue to run perfectly for Rene Rast in the Porsche Supercup. The Volkswagen Junior mounted the podium in Hungary at the eighth round of the season thanks to his third place. The German had already taken third place in qualifying. Following his sixth podium finish - including four victories - Rast defended the Porsche one make cup championship lead.
