A victory and four podium places for Volkswagen drivers

The season finale of the British Formula 3 Championship at Brands Hatch culminated in a success for the drivers "powered by Volkswagen". James Calado secured his fifth victory of the season in the rain at the last race of the year in front of his brand colleague William Buller (Hitech Racing). Vice champion Calado from Team Carlin as the runner-up in front of his team-mate Adriano Buzaid was the best Volkswagen driver in the first race too. Buzaid finished the second round in third place on the podium again. The Frenchman Jean-Eric Vergne (Carlin) who had previously been determined as the champion finished the second race in fourth place. In the following round the winner of 13 races this season did not cross the finish line for the first time.

Volkswagen Jetta TDI Cup
Two victories and title for Mobley

JD Mobley is the new champion of the Volkswagen Jetta TDI Cup. Although he had travelled to the season finale at Puebla/Mexico only in fifth place of the standings the driver from Castle Rock in the U.S. state of Colorado clinched the title after all thanks to a pole position and two victories. Local hero Juan Pablo Sierra Lendle occupied places two and three at his home round. Podium finishes were also clinched by Ryan Ellis, who finished the first round in third place, and by Wyatt Gooden, who was the runner-up in Sunday's race.

Volkswagen Scirocco Cup China
Montesi and Tse win at Ordos

Stefano Montesi and Kevin Tse shared the victories at the fourth race weekend of the Volkswagen Scirocco Cup China. In round one at the new Ordos International Circuit the Italian Montesi was victorious with just a 0.198-second lead over his compatriot Andrea Reggiani. Tse occupied third place. In the second race the driver from Hong Kong again won in front of Reggiani who came second again, and Kenny Lo. This puts Tse and Reggiani at the top of the standings with an equal point score with six races to go.

Volkswagen Polo Cup India
Ghorpade is the man of the day

With a third-place finish and a victory Parth Ghorpade was the most successful driver at the races of the Volkswagen Polo Cup India at Chennai. In the first race the 17-year-old saw the chequered flag in his TDI-powered Cup Polo behind Sailesh Bolisetti and Vikash Anand and won the second race in front of Mohd Fahad Kutty and Imran Majid.

Joe Fulbrook dominates on his return

Last year's champion Joe Fulbrook managed a successful return to the British Volkswagen Racing Cup. The Bora driver commandingly won rounds eleven and twelve of the season. Behind the seasoned campaigner James Walker finished as the runner-up twice in his Golf GTI. Third places went to Paul Taylor and series rookie Dominic Pettit, respectively.
