New Faces in FMX shine in Worcester

WORCESTER, Mass. (January 10, 2004) - IFMA Freestyle Motocross Presented by XM Satellite Radio finished up the second weekend of competition and with a win Friday night at Worcester's Centrum Centre, Andy Jones sits in the first position in overall IFMA points standings. Myles Richmond, the nights number three qualifier, took over the Nissan hot seat from Robert Distler with a 92.0. Jim McNeil back flipped on his first trick out, putting together a solid run scoring a 91.8, but not enough to beat the smooth riding of Richmond. The number one qualifier, Andy Jones also flipped on his first trick out and finished up the run with a no-footed back flip to score a 92.2 edging out Richmond for his second win in 2004.

Dayne Kinnaird, Friday's ninth place finisher, came out Saturday on fire throwing huge combination tricks that are seldom seen in a freestyle motocross competition. Kinnaird's final run of 92.7 included a total of 15 tricks, next most on the night was 13. Kinnaird's 92.7 withstood the back flipping of Jim McNeil and Andy Jones scoring 91.3 and 92.4 respectively. Brian Foster qualified in the fourth position, but with a final score of 92.5 landed Foster in second place overall followed by Jones, Richmond and Derek Burlew rounding out the top five.

Friday's IFMA Freestyle Motocross Results:
1. Andy Jones 92.2
2. Myles Richmond 92.0
3. Jim McNeil 91.8

Saturday's IFMA Freestyle Motocross Results:
1. Dayne Kinnaird 92.7
2. Brian Foster 92.5
