FORT WORTH-DALLAS (July 25, 2000) - The wildest jumps in freestyle motocross history are expected Friday and Saturday nights, August 11-12 when the IFMA Freestyle Motocross circuit makes its initial appearance in the area at Texas Motor Speedway Dirt Track.

Freestyle motocross incorporates the color and excitement of the start-fini sh line "big air" jumps in Supercross competition. A multiple-jump circuit will be constructed on the frontstretch of the area's newest dirt track for 15 of the nation's leading riders to perform their mid-air antics.

The Texas Motor Speedway round of the IFMA Freestyle Motocross season will offer riders the only outdoor appearance of the 11-event year. The outdoor configuration is expected to give riders higher jumps and more runoff area to perform jumps never seen in freestyle competition.

"Fans are going to witness a truly unique competition when 15 of the top freestyle motocross riders gather at Texas Motor Speedway," said speedway general manager Eddie Gossage. "We are excited to bring one of motorsports ' fastest growing events to this area."

Freestyle motocross stars Mike Jones, Clifford Adoptante and Oklahoman Kenny Bartram are expected to be among the field. Full jump-off programs will be presented each evening at 8:00 pm. Spectator gates will open at 6:30 pm nightly.

Tickets for the IFMA Freestyle Motocross program at Texas Motor Speedway Dirt Track are still available. All Saturday night tickets will include a special pre-event pit party admission to meet the riders. Participating Fort Worth-Dallas area Taco Cabana locations are offering $2.00 discount coupons to Friday's program. Children's tickets are available for just $10.00 each night.

Nightly reserved seat admission is $25 for adults and $20 for children ages two to 12. Children's general admission is just $10 nightly. Tickets may be purchased at the speedway or by calling (817) 215-8500, through local Ticketmaster locations and through the FMX website at www.pacefmx.com kk
