Two podiums from two rallies for Ruthin resident
Ruthin resident John Pritchard appears to have shrugged off a decade long lay off from rallying by scoring his second podium finish in two rallies when the Copart Finder, KC Auto, U Pull It and Top Signs supported driver brought his Ford Fiesta ST home third in the Fiesta Sporting Challenge on last weekends Bulldog Challenge Rally.
Pritchard and co-driver Chris Williams ran consistently inside the top ten overall on the five stage event and apart from swapping ECU controllers during service the car ran faultlessly all day long and Pritchard was pleased to set a string of top three in class stage times.
I'm getting the hang of this now. The car felt much better today and there was loads of grip. Today I was working on getting my lines right through the corners and having the car work with me rather than fighting it. Also my confidence in the notes is improving all the time and this is reflected in the stage times
The next event for the Copart Finder, KC Auto, U Pull It and Top Signs supported team is the Pirelli Challenge Rally which takes place on Saturday 24 April. Utilising the world famous Kielder Forest Complex this is an event which John has enjoyed success on before, winning the Pirelli National rally in a Skoda in 1995.
