Hockridge looking forward to Ulster return

Signature Cheese backed Andrew Hockridge and Rich Mills are looking forward to returning to the Irish shores for this weekends Todd's Leap Ulster Rally, an event that saw the pair scoop a podium position in the C2R2cup on their last visit.

Welshman Andrew enjoys both the rally friendly attitude of the Irish and the nature of the roads and has prepared for the event by contesting a number of non championship rounds, including the Ravens Rock and Stone Throwers Rallies, both of which saw the rapid C2R2 Max pick up class podiums, including a class win on the Stone Throwers where Andrew traded times with WRC star Matthew Wilson, competing in an R2 Fiesta!.

After finishing as runners up in 2008, with no less than six podiums to their credit, the pair have not enjoyed the best of luck so far in 2009. A pre event altercation with a tractor saw their brand new C2R2 Max struggle on the opening round before the pair were forced to miss the second rally of the season due to a parts sourcing issue. Since then the pace has increased in leaps and bounds and Andrew was happy to be on the pace on the Isle of Man recently, until a wheel sheared off the car, forcing their retirement.

The less said about our championship the better, but we really enjoy these events and so will carry on with the season. I am getting to grips with the car and am looking forward to this years Ulster Rally. It is really tricky, a proper drivers rally, and we just have to hope we have a good run here.
