BTCC: Audi newsletter 2004-05-23

DTM:
Fans will be warmed up for the upcoming fourth round of the DTM at EuroSpeedway Lausitz (6 June) with a big event in the heart of Berlin next Saturday (29 May).

The popular Touring Car Series will present itself in Germany's capital city for the occasion of the DFB Football Cup finale. For the DTM event, the "Straße des 17. Juni" will be converted into a 700-metre long track that will be used for demonstration laps and race taxi drives. Highlight of the event will be a parade of the DTM cars to the Sony Centre where a football party takes place.

Le Mans:
Visitors to the "Sunday Times Motor Show Live" in Birmingham will not witness the UK public launch of the new Audi A6.

On the show's opening day (Tuesday May 25), the British Audi importer will also display on its stand Audi Sport UK Team Veloqx's two Audi R8 sports cars, which will compete in mid June's Le Mans 24 Hour race. Among the guests feature Audi sports car drivers Jamie Davies, Johnny Herbert, Pierre Kaffer, Allan McNish and Guy Smith.

BTCC:
Another podium result for SEAT

A SEAT driver stepped on the podium again during the fourth race weekend of the British Touring Car Championship (BTCC). At Oulton Park, Jason Plato finished second in the second race with his SEAT Toledo Cupra.

Supercopa:

Finishing second and first, star-of-tomorrow Peter Terting, who is supported by Audi, has extended his overall lead in the German SEAT Leon Supercopa at Assen (Netherlands). Former Formula 1 test driver Marcel Laseé clinched victory in the first heat on Saturday. On Sunday, Terting and Andreas Kolb gave Team Abt Sportsline, Audi's DTM partner, a 1-2 victory.
