Paul Radisich BTCC Pick 8 Info and Rules ---------------------------------------- The Paul Radisich BTCC Pick 8 is a Internet Tipping competition based around the racing in the 1998 British Touring Car Championship. There will be all sorts of prizes up for grabs during the competition, including some great Paul Radisich clothing and accessories, however the main focus of the competition revolves around the winner having "bragging" rights for one year. Prize details will be posted here as soon as they are finalised in the near future. Some prizes may only be available to pick 8 entrants of certain countries. Prizes of this nature will be specified. The Pick 8 competition is open to anyone from anywhere and is totally FREE New players are free to join at any time during the season, and to encourage their participation upon entry they will be awarded average points for all missed rounds. This will be determined by finding the average of the entrants scores in each meeting. How It Works : Before each race meeting begins you must visit the Paul Radisich Pick 8 Website and submit your entry supplying the finishing order in the final or "Main" race, plus bonus finishers for the meeting. After the meeting the scores will be compiled and displayed on the website for all to see. Picks must be submitted before midnight of the Friday before each meeting UK time. The Rules : All picks must be submitted through the Paul Radisich Website. Should a player not be able to do this, or if the site is down for any reason, an email entry will be accepted via prcomp@acr.co.nz Entrants are asked to use their real names. There is no limit to the number of people competing from one email address, providing they have a different entry name. A players picks will be carried forward for one meeting should he or she not enter for the next race, however under no circumstances will a pick carry over more than one meeting. Picks :

There are two sections to each pick. Each entrant should pick the top 8 finishers in the final or "Main" race at each BTCC race meeting. This will always be the final or longest race at that meeting. All BTCC drivers, whether works or independant will be scored according to their actual finishing position (see below for explanation). The second part of each entrants pick is the bonus section, where good picking means healthy bonus points can be scored. For every meeting bonus points will be awarded for picking Pauls qualifying position in the "One-Shot Showdown" as well as for picking Pauls finishing position in the "Main" race. Scoring : Scoring in the Paul Radisich BTCC Pick 8 competition will be based on the overall finishing order for the "Main" race as above, and points in the Pick 8 competition will be awarded as follows in the table below:

Picked Position Actual Finishing Position ---> (points scored are inside the table) 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 1 20 18 16 14 12 10 8 6 2 18 20 18 16 14 12 10 8 3 16 18 20 18 16 14 12 10 4 14 16 18 20 18 16 14 12 5 12 14 16 18 20 18 16 14 6 10 12 14 16 18 20 18 16 7 8 10 12 14 16 18 20 18 8 6 8 10 12 14 16 18 20

Bonus Points : Bonus points will be awarded as follows : For each driver picked to finish in the top 8 who actually finishes in the top 8 the BTCC Pick 8 entrant will score 5 points. Exact pick of Pauls qualifying position in the "One-Shot Showdown", 20 points Exact pick of Pauls main race finishing position, 20 points Other Details : Each meeting will have an overall winner which is the entrant scoring the most points according the to points system above. The points gained by each entrant in each meeting will be added together and will count towards the overall championship. The overall champion will be the entrant with the highest points total once all meeting scores are added together. Ties will be broken by the number of exact picks throughout the year, followed by the number of exact picks for first place, then second and so on until the tie is broken. Should there be a tie for prize paying positions places will firstly be decided by the closest pick for Pauls finishing position, followed by the cloest pick for Pauls "One-Shot Showdown" qualifying and if there is still a tie it will be decided by the number of exact picks in the 8.
