Champagne Victor For Green Flag BTCC Podium

Overall 'Trophy Winner' of the 2003 International Wine & Spirits Competition for Best Non-Vintage, Champagne Victor, is the Green Flag MSA British Touring Car Championship's new official podium champagne for 2004.

Over 120 bottles of the champagne - which carries the logo 'Be yourself. Be a victor.' - will be awarded throughout the season to the top three drivers in every BTCC race and each winner of the HarrierZeuros Independents Trophy.

"The brand is only 18 months old, but already we have grown very quickly. I'm also a big fan of the BTCC and last year was at the majority of the races. This was the perfect environment to place my product," said Champagne Victor's creator Victor Lanson.

"The BTCC provides the most exciting racing anywhere and I know that the drivers who receive my champagne up there on the podium will have thoroughly deserved it. It is going to be an incredible fight in 2004."

Last year 80,000 bottles of Champagne Victor were sold in the UK alone. This is expected to rise to over 130,000 in 2004 - aided by exposure it will gain from the BTCC's live television coverage on ITV1 and Motors TV.
