Jason Plato and Robert Huff continued SEAT's best-ever weekend in the British Touring Car Championship by securing their second one-two of the weekend and a total haul of 65 points. Huff made the better start to take the lead on the first lap but then eased off early on allowing Plato to pass and take his second win of the weekend and fourth of the season so far.

Plato and Huff's result in race two ensured an all-SEAT front row for race three with Dan Eaves and James Thompson on row two and their team-mates Matt Neal and Yvan Muller on row three. Both SEATs made good starts but Huff's was the better as he passed Plato and took the lead. Thompson moved ahead of Eaves to run in third and Muller passed Neal to run in fifth.

Muller passed Eaves on lap two to move up to fourth and one place behind team-mate Thompson. Huff was comfortably leading by nearly two seconds but backed off on lap five and allowed Plato into the lead. Thompson also took advantage of Huff's drop in pace to move to within a car-length of the leading SEATs. Behind him team-mate Muller was passed by both Neal and Colin Turkington who were having an intense battle of their own.

The top six cars were all covered by two seconds but no-one was close enough to pass and Plato started to edge away into the distance. Shaun Watson-Smith, whose best result of the season so far is seventh place, was leading the chasing pack in sixth place and one second ahead of Reid, but the West Surrey Racing driver maintained the pressure and passed on lap ten.

Neal retired from fourth place on lap eleven with a suspected engine problem and this allowed Turkington a clear run at Thompson. The MG ZS driver took full advantage and barged past the Vauxhall Astra Coupe on the next lap to move up to third.

Plato held on to take the win and became only the second driver to win two races in a weekend this season, after Muller achieved the same feat earlier at Oulton Park. Huff finished second for the third time this season and Turkington maintained his recent run of good form to score his third podium in six races.

Muller remains in the lead the championship with 177 points, three points ahead of Thompson who finished fourth in all three races and closed in on Muller by one point over the weekend. Reid's win in race one and hat-trick of fastest laps ensured that he maintains third position with 132 points, and Plato's double win moved him up one place ahead of Neal who dropped to fifth.

The next rounds of the championship take place on August 7th and 8th at Knockhill circuit after a one-year absence from the Scottish venue.
