ARMOR ALL POLE POSITION AWARD FOR WPS BATHURST 12 HOUR

As the build up to the WPS Bathurst 12 Hour Showroom Enduro (February 20 -- 22) continues, ARMOR ALL, manufacturer of some of the World's top car care products, has joined the Event as official sponsor of the Pole Position Award.

The ARMOR ALL Pole Position Award will be a highly sought after trophy during qualifying on Saturday February 21 with the winning team securing a $2,500 bonus courtesy of the car care product company.

"Since its rebirth a couple of years ago the WPS Bathurst 12 Hour has grown significantly and we're proud to be associated with the Event at the spiritual home of Australia motorsport - Mount Panorama" said ARMOR ALL Marketing Manager Paul Blair.

"We are pleased to be able to provide some extra incentive for drivers to strive to achieve the pole position award and I look forward to congratulating the winners of the ARMOR ALL Pole Position Award on the Saturday Afternoon of the Event."

Event Director James O'Brien is delighted to have such an iconic company become a part of the Event, which will also provide extra emphasis on the importance of claiming pole position for the race.

"It is great to have ARMOR ALL join as a partner of the WPS Bathurst 12 Hour as the official sponsor of the Pole Position Award," said O'Brien.

"I'm sure that with the extra prestige of winning the ARMOR ALL Pole Position Award now attached to qualifying we will see drivers pushing even harder in the lead up to the race."

The reigning Pole Position winner for the WPS Bathurst 12 Hour is David Wall, who will again campaign a Mistubishi Lancer Evo IX alongside his father Des and Trevor Symonds.

The 2009 WPS Bathurst Showroom Enduro will be held at Mount Panorama on February 20-22. In addition to the 12 Hour race the Event will also incorporate the opening round of the 2009 Shannons Nationals which will feature the Porsche GT3 Cup Challenge, Saloon Cars, Formula Vee, HQ Holdens and Improved Production Cars.

The 2008 WPS 12 Hour Showroom Enduro attracted in excess of 100 drivers across 37 entries from various parts of Australia and New Zealand with the Mitsubishi Evo 9 of Damien White, Graham Alexander and Rod Salmon taking the victory.
