Close battle at half way mark
The battle for the lead in the WPS Bathurst 12 Hour Showroom Enduro is heating up with Tony Ricciardello and Paul Stubber in close proximity at the head of the field.
Just as intense is the current battle for third, fourth and fifth between Brad Jones, Trevor Symonds and Tony Longhurst.
After his Mitsubishi Lancer Evo X was on the fritz during the practice sessions, Jones and co-driver Jason Bargwanna have been consistently fast so far throughout the race. Despite receiving a drive-through penalty late in the hour they remain in third place.
The hour began under safety car due to an incident involving Gary Tierney at Skyline which resulted in the track being blocked and the field being stopped going up the mountain.
Glen Holdsworth also brought about another safety car period late in the hour when he crashed out of the event in the #67 Holden Astra.
The leaders have now completed 108 laps.
