Armor All Bathurst 12 Hour backed by NSW Government

The Armor All Bathurst 12 Hour Showroom Enduro, kicking off 12 – 14 February 2010 at Mount Panorama is being supported by the NSW Government through Events NSW for the second year.

Event Promoter James O'Brien said the ongoing support from the NSW Government contributes significantly to the event which in turn pays great dividends for the local economy.

"The 12 Hour generated significant economic benefit for the region. Local support is strong and the event can only continue to grow in the future."

Premier Kristina Keneally said the NSW Government is pleased to support the fourth annual Armor All Bathurst 12 Hour.

"The Event is a key feature of the 2010 NSW Master Events Calendar, alongside other motorsport events including Corowa Autofest, Supercheap Auto Bathurst 1000 and Sydney Telstra 500.

"Events such as these play an important role for tourism in regional NSW, attracting visitors and boosting local economies," Ms Keneally said.

Last year Events NSW research found the Armor All Bathurst 12 Hour generated $3.6 million for the local economy including $1.8 million in new money for the State through interstate visitation.

Boasting names like Eric Bana, John Bowe, Neil Crompton, Jason Bright, Glenn Seton, Paul Morris, Leanne Tander and Jason Bargwanna the Event is attracting attention of race fans around Australia and overseas.

The Armor All Bathurst 12 Hour Showroom Enduro is in its 4th year, with a grid of 46 cars entered. The race features production cars in a class structure representative of the mass road-going market. BMW, Mitsubishi, Ford, Holden, Nissan and Subaru will compete for outright honors.

Prostate Cancer is the official charity of the Event and the race will be televised in a 3 hour special on the SEVEN Network, through Fox Sports, New Zealand and other International Markets.

Tickets can be purchased through the Armor All Bathurst 12 Hour Website www.bathurst12hour.com.au or through Ticketek on 13 2849.
