MA statement regarding the 2009 ASBK
Motorcycling Australia's (MA) CEO, David White, would like to release the following statement in regard to the 2009 Australian Superbike Championship:
Motorcycling Australia (MA) confirms that a formal agreement is in place with Frontline Media Group Pty Ltd to conduct the Australian Superbike Championship, on its behalf, for 2009 and beyond.
MA is delighted to have Frontline Media Group (FMG) promoting the Championship and is pleased to confirm television, prize money for all classes and airfence will all be an integral part of the series.
Motorcycling Australia has been involved for several years with Yarrive Konsky -- a director of FMG -- in his role as a promoter of successful Off Road motorcycle events.
Yarrive has always shown an innate ability to market events and attract significant spectator attendance and we are confident he will bring these talents to the Australian Superbike Championship.
