RAY EVERNHAM, PPG AND DAVE PEREWITZ REV ENGINES TO RAISE MONEY FOR THE LEUKEMIA & LYMPHOMA SOCIETY
Custom Chopper for Charity Designed by Evernham, PPG and Perewitz to be Up for Bid on eBay

STATESVILLE, N.C. (April 15, 2005) -- Ladies and gentlemen....start your bidding! If you want to ride in style while helping a good cause, Evernham Motorsports has the ideal opportunity for you.

Ray Evernham, president and CEO of Evernham Motorsports, combined his love of motorcycles with his charitable outreach effort, Racing for a Reason, and his commitment to The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society to support a program that will raise money for the life-saving work of this charity.

Evernham teamed up with legendary bike builder Dave Perewitz, founder of Perewitz Cycle Fab, and PPG Automotive Refinish to design and build a custom Pro-street V-twin chopper with a 40 degree rake featuring a 121 cu. in. TP engine and a 6-speed Baker transmission, Weld Racing wheels, Danny Gray custom seat and a 300 series rear tire. The Custom Chopper for Charity features a fabulous finish from the PPG Vibrance Collection™ with a Liquid Crystal Orange topcoat and classic Perewitz flames.

The Custom Chopper will appear with the PPG Show Truck at custom car and bike shows around the country and select NASCAR events all summer. In addition, Evernham, Perewitz and PPG will sponsor monthly charity auctions on eBay offering high-profile collectible items to benefit The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society.

The bike can be seen at the following upcoming events in April and May

* Texas Motor Speedway, Justin, Texas, April 15

* Western Street Rod Nationals in Bakersfield, Calif., April 29 -- May 1

* Myrtle Beach Bike Week in Myrtle Beach, Fla., May 13 -- 22

* 1st Great American Rod & Custom Nationals, Springfield, Missouri, May 27-29

* 32nd Annual Street Rod Nationals, East York, Penn., June 3-5

In the fall, the Custom Chopper for Charity will be up for bid on eBay with 100 percent of the proceeds benefiting The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. The charity auction is scheduled to begin on September 30 and will end on October 9. Delivery will take place at the Texas Motor Speedway during the November race weekend where the winning bidder will be presented the bike by Ray Evernham and PPG representatives.

"The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society has been incredibly important to me and my family, and I'm committed to finding new and unique ways to help raise funds for the important work they do," said Evernham. "I love motorcycles, particularly custom bikes, and the chance to build a bike with a legend like Dave Perewitz is a great opportunity. PPG is a great partner in this, from providing a fabulous finish for the bike to helping raise funds for the cause and providing marketing and promotional support for the entire program. Together, we can raise money for The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society and raise awareness of this cause."
