Tommy Baldwin Racing Names Lighthouse Mission, Inc. Official Charity
Baldwin Automotive Joins Effort

MOORESVILLE, N.C. (January 28, 2011) -- Tommy Baldwin Racing (TBR) is pleased to announce Lighthouse Mission, Inc., as its official charity. Along with TBR, Baldwin Automotive, also owned by Long Island native and TBR owner Tommy Baldwin, will join the effort and name Lighthouse Mission, Inc. its official charity.

Lighthouse Mission, Inc., aids families in need in the Long Island community. The organization collects and distributes food four days a week to local areas in need, feeding more than 3,000 people regularly. It also holds a weekly Kid's Club each Saturday for four to 12 year olds and provides them with a safe place to have fun and learn.

In addition to weekly efforts, Lighthouse Mission, Inc., has three annual programs: a Back-to-School program giving school supplies to local, poverty-stricken students at the beginning of each school year; a Thanksgiving program where they distribute food to needy families for Thanksgiving; and a Christmas gift-giving program giving parents of newborn to 18-year-old children gifts for Christmas.

"Just this past year more the 150,000 children went to bed hungry on Long Island," explained Pastor Jim Ryan, president of the Lighthouse Mission. "That sad statistic is not something that the Lighthouse Mission nor TBR Racing and Baldwin Automotive are willing to accept. In an exciting partnership, we plan to engage this problem head on. Together we will continue putting food into the hands of these children and their families."

"In addition, this new partnership will allow the Lighthouse Mission's free weekly "Kids Club" to not only provide the attending children with a hot lunch but more importantly, continue to teach these children (most already living in poverty) that a life of drugs, gangs and violence, faced each day, is not a life they have to embrace," Pastor Ryan continued. "We are truly grateful for the generous outpouring of support from TBR and Baldwin Automotive and look forward to working together to make a difference in the communities we serve as well as in the lives of these children."

Both TBR and Baldwin Automotive will work to build awareness and raise funds for the Lighthouse Mission. TBR will carry the Lighthouse Mission logo on the No. 36 Tommy Baldwin Racing Chevrolet for the 2011 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series season. Baldwin Automotive will support the charity locally by volunteering at Lighthouse Mission events.

"I am proud to have the opportunity to give back to the community where I grew up," said Baldwin. "It feels good to get back to my roots, and I appreciate our ability to help people in need. Every day our team, both TBR and Baldwin Automotive, is reminded that we are in a position to help. I believe in Lighthouse Mission, and I hope that we will work together for years to come."
