Fourth stage is done. But we had problems at today's special.
After 21 km the engine stopped and we had to call for the service car. They came and discovered that what has happened was just a cable that had jumped off. Nothing serious. But we didn't reach the goal of the special in time, so we will receive a maximum time and probably a penalty. (That's way they still haven't published any position at the official Dakar site). We are however still in the rally!
What happened yesterday was a thrill. We had to change the cylinder head which took 5 hours. By 21.00 (9.00 pm) we started the 800 km long liaison to get to the ferry to Tanger. Then we had some couple of hours drive to the bivouac. We arrived one hour before closing time, so we had plenty of time. :)
We haven't had that much of sleep. But we are happy.
We are now on our way along todays last liaison to Er Rachidia from where tomorrow's rally starts. This will be a tough stage, so let's hope for a good night's sleep.
