Dakar: Inventor Racing stage 5 report

Fifth stage and we are all happy

About three hours ago (8.00 pm) we reached the goal of the special. We came in as number 91 on the special and we have an overall standing of 102nd position.

Today has been a fantastic day -- everything has worked well and the race car is a wonder when running fast and smoothly over the sand dunes. The only mishap today was a puncture -- our second so far -- but this was easy fixed.

It was really sandy today. We got stuck behind some trucks todays (they wouldn't let us pass) and it was so thick with sand in the air that we didn't see much. -I couldn't even watch TV, Ivan said. (Which means watch the rear camera that is installed in the car, helping the driver to have a look on what's going on behind the car).

Last night did bring a good nights sleep to everyone. Well, maybe except for Claes who had his sleeping bag covered with frost this morning.

Now we have some kilometers to drive to our night camp.
