Riwald Team stage 1 report

Riwald press release

Today, the first stage was driven by the team. A special stage of 60 kilometers. Does not sound special, but for a first stage pretty interesting. Pretty indeed, along the coastline, a few kilometers southwards of Mar del Plata

Along the way, the men and lady came across some dunes. No big ones, but big enough to get used to them again. They will see enough dunes in the upcoming couple of days.

Bernhard conquered a nice ninth spot in the overall ranking. The first noted Dutchman, something to be proud of!

It felt great, we’ve experienced no exceptional thing along the route. Perfect getting started like this

Gert Huzink

Erik drove behind a buggy which was drinf to slow, but he could’nt get by it. Het lost some valuable time there. He’s on a shared 15-th place with erik van Loon.

Gert had a good day. ”It felt great, we’ve experienced no exceptional thing along the route. Perfect getting started like this”, said Gert

Richard had a bit of shirtage of luch today. With the overtaking of a car, he hit with one wheel, two holes. This crooked the handlebar. Together with Ed and Jaap it could be fixed, but it meant that tey lost some minutes. “A shame, because we were ranked 24-th in WP1. It’s a bummer, but we’ll get through it. Tomorrow is another day, let’s go for it!”
