LAS VEGAS - Paul Bledsoe collected his first Pro E.T. bracket victory at The Strip in a double red-light final-round elimination against Tim Arden in round seven of the Summit Racing E.T. Bracket Series presented by National Performance Center.
"The car was great tonight," said Bledsoe. "I won a couple of rounds, and it pulled me out of a few mistakes."
In the final round, Arden completed his pass with a 12.225 E.T. Bledsoe crossed the finish line with a 16.306 E.T. after leaving the starting line seven-thousands early, only after Arden fouled first by breaking the beam four-thousands early.
"The track was really great," said Bledsoe. "Tonight was a great event. Driving down the return road in front of the fans at The Strip is a great feeling."
Street eliminations ended with a Farnum family racing showdown as teammates Monica Zahniser and Lynn Farnum met in the final round. Zahniser was able to take the win with her 16.246 E.T. at 78.55 mph.
In Super Quick competition, Dennis Marsh used his 8.025 E.T. at 170.49 mph to defeat Steve Johnson, who fouled in the final round.
Earl Blake survived a 40-car Sportsman field to earn a final round victory over Dennis Evans. Blake completed his final pass with a 12.048 E.T. at 105.45 mph while Evans ran a 11.246 E.T. at 120.50 mph.
In the final round of Motorcycle eliminations, Sean Conner used a .443 R.T. and a 9.241 E.T. at 136.95 to defeat Kahea Woods.
Round eight of the Summit Racing E.T. Bracket Series is scheduled for Saturday, August 26.
