Autumn Chase Nationals gets title sponsors

BRISTOL, Tenn. -- Title sponsors for the inaugural IHRA Autumn Chase Nationals were announced late Friday. The race, which replaces the long-running Fall Nationals as Bristol Dragway's second IHRA Snap-on Tools Drag Racing Series event for 1997, will now be called the All Pro Bumper-to-Bumper / Prolong Super Lubricants Autumn Chase Nationals presented by Marcus Cable, IHRA officials announced. With the announcement, each race on the nine-event IHRA Snap-on Tools Championship Drag Racing Series schedule featured title-rights sponsors. "IHRA is really excited about All Pro Bumper-to-Bumper's increased involvement on the Snap-on Tools Drag Racing Series in 1997," said IHRA Director of Marketing Lisa Potter. "We look forward to expanding our relationship with All Pro in the future." All Pro Bumper-to-Bumper Auto Parts has been a major sponsor of the traditional season-opening Winter Nationals in Darlington, S.C. for the last seven years. They are also involved in several other auto racing programs. "We are thrilled to be branching out even more in our overall support of auto racing," said Roger McCabe, president of All Pro Bumper-to-Bumper Auto Parts. "We view our involvement with the Autumn Chase Nationals as a great opportunity." Prolong Super Lubricants has been a major event sponsor with IHRA since 1996. Among the events they have sponsored this season include the Spring Nationals at Bristol, Tenn. and the World Nationals in Norwalk, Ohio -- two of the sanction's biggest races. The Anaheim, Calif.-based company manufactures lubricants for automotive, heavy industrial, commercial and military applications. Prolong Super Lubricants has been active in industrial markets since 1983, and opened for distribution in retail markets last year. All Pro Bumper-to-Bumper Auto Parts, headquartered in Florence, Ky., has served both service dealers and retail outlets in the aftermarket auto parts industry for the last 24 years. All Pro Bumper-to-Bumper Auto Parts has 2,000 stores in the United States and Canada.
