IHRA Inks Four-Year Extension With Knoll Gas Motorsports Park At US 131
Track To Host Torco Racing Fuels Northern Nationals Through 2011 Season

NORWALK, Ohio (March 1, 2007) -- IHRA has extended its agreement with the recently renamed Knoll Gas Motorsports Park at US 131 to host the Torco Racing Fuels Northern Nationals at the facility south of Grand Rapids, Mich., through the 2011 season.

The Nitro Jam event has been held at the track since 2002 and this season is scheduled for August 3 -- 5. Knoll Gas Motorsports Park at US 131 will celebrate 45 years of operation this season.

"With the dramatic increase in spectators in 2006 during the Torco Racing Fuels Northern Nationals, we feel the IHRA series will continue to grow at a rapid pace," said track general manager Jason Peterson. "Everyone is enthusiastic with the direction that IHRA is headed. With the additional support of Knoll Gas to US 131, Evan Knoll will bring even more awareness to this IHRA national event in our market."
