Division 9 Mr. Gasket Pro-Am Tour Kicks Off with a Bang

NORWALK, Ohio (March 6, 2006) -- For the second year in a row the Division 9 Mr. Gasket Pro-Am Tour opener at Rockingham Dragway blew away the previous season. Last year the Rockingham race proved to be the largest event in the division and this year Steve Earwood and his staff at Rockingham Dragway continue to set the pace. The 2006 Pro-Am this past weekend at Rockingham ended up not only besting last season, but turned out to be the second largest Division 9 event ever.

"The Mr. Gasket Pro-Am Tour is off to an incredible start," IHRA Vice President of Race Operations Skooter Peaco said. "The double race in Immokalee was great, then this Rockingham race really raised the bar even further. (Rockingham owner) Steve Earwood and his staff, along with Team IHRA, did a tremendous job of running a smooth race with a car count that was higher than expected. This is a good sign for the 2006 Mr. Gasket Pro-Am Tour season."
