Audi driver Scheider defends DTM lead

DTM: With a cleverly clinched second place, Audi driver Timo Scheider defended his overall DTM lead at Barcelona. With Martin Tomczyk, Mike Rockenfeller and Alexandre Premat in positions four, five and six, three further Audi drivers scored points. Rockenfeller and Premat, who have won the title in the European-based Le Mans Series with the Audi R10 TDI, were the best drivers of cars from last year. In addition, it was the best result both have achieved in the DTM so far this season.

Audi drivers are guests at "family day"

DTM/Le Mans: A close-up experience of the racers and racing cars of the Audi brand - this opportunity will be provided to employees of AUDI AG and their families at the "Audi family day" in Ingolstadt. Except for the drivers who are already in the USA to prepare for the "Petit Le Mans" race, all Audi factory drivers will be guests in Ingolstadt on Saturday. The successful Audi racing cars will not only be showcased but can be seen in action as well. Another highlight of the event will be pit stop demonstrations by the Audi race teams.

Coming up next week

Audi Professional Cup in Lisbon with Audi factory driver Timo Scheider (Friday) ... Audi family day in Ingolstadt (Saturday) ... Audi Stars & Cars event with Audi factory drivers Lucas Luhr and Allan McNish at Nalley Audi in Roswell near Atlanta (Saturday) ... ALMS tests at Road Atlanta (Sunday)
