Nurburgring: Opel qualifying report

Peter Dumbreck the drove Opel Vectra GTS V8 to fourth place in the super pole qualifying of the sixth round of the DTM at the Nürburgring. As at Lausitz, the Scot (OPC Team Phoenix) was the best Vectra driver. Teammate Marcel Fässler took sixth place, 13 hundredths of a second behind him.

Timo Scheider (OPC Team Holzer) reached the individually timed driving with the fifth best time in qualifying, for the sixth time in the DTM, and finished the super pole seventh. So an Opel starts from the second row for the fourth time this season.

"I got faster in each of the three laps I took in qualifying. In the super pole round I over-braked in the first corner, otherwise it could have been even better. Nevertheless, it was my fastest time of the weekend."
