Le Mans Series & Audi Taking off well again!
This is official now: Audi Motorsports gets involved in Le Mans Series again for 2008!
Winner of the two last 24 Hours of Le Mans, Audi accepts Le Mans Series 2008's challenge. Actually, the manufacturer from Ingolstadt will confront along the 1000-km races the diesel powered R10 LMP1 with the European major circuits and-- Peugeot's 908 HDI diesel engine, winner of the 2007 series.
Thus, Audi Sport Joest will enter two works cars, R10 TDIs driven by two major crews: Allan McNish/Dindo Capello and Alexandre/Premat / Mike Rockenfeller.
Le Mans Series is delighted with the arrival of this major car manufacturer (already entered in the Series in 2004 & 2005), and with the possibility to offer a always more exciting show to its audience, thanks -among others- to the duel Audi/Peugeot !
Next step on the Paul Ricard HTTT circuit on next 2nd and 3rd of March, for the Official Test session.
