Catalunya: Madie Pescarolo Bugatti test summary

LMS TEST DAYS ON THE BUGATTI CIRCUIT:
TWO WORKING DAYS AND THE BEST LAPTIME FOR PESCAROLO SPORT

The Pescarolo-Judd #16 and #17 were both presented on the Bugatti Circuit in their brand new 2009 livery. Car #16, already famous for having ranked second in the 1000 km race in Barcelona and its sister car #17 equipped for the first time with its new aerodynamic package.

In presence of a strong delegation of members of staff from Sora Composites, Jean-Christophe Boullion, Christophe Tinseau and Bruce Jouanny took turns at the wheel of the two cars during two full working days. It was in fact the first real development session for the two prototypes.

It is to be remembered that when presented in Barcelona on 3 April, this brand new car had nor been driven yet on a race track!

During those two days, Claude Galopin tested a full set of aero and mechanical configurations and at the end of the session, Christophe Tinseau set a splendid lap time of 1' 23'' 676. It represents the best lap time ever set by a prototype on the Bugatti Circuit, close to the track lap record!

The team did not aim to post the best time of the session but this fantastic result just shows the high potential of the new Pescarolo-Judd. In view of the 1000 km of Spa to be raced on 10 May next, it is a reward for the work already done by the whole team.
