A FEW HOURS TO THE START OF THE NEW CHALLENGE IN LE MANS SERIES
The first free practice session scheduled for today at the 'Circuit de Catalunya', in Spain, will set the official beginning of the 2009 Le Mans Series. Matteo Bobbi, with his crew-mates Thomas Biagi and Andrea Piccini is among the most awaited protagonists together with the Lola B09/08 of Racing Box, on paper one of the prototypes to defeat.
Matteo Bobbi: 'Barcellona will be a good test bench for us: Le Mans Series is a new category for the team as well as for us drivers and we will have to refine several details during the weekend. Tests gave us positive indications that make me optimist but real values will emerge only from the race.
A good memory of mine is connected to Montmelò: in 2003 it hosted the opening race of FIA GT and Thomas Biagi was also my crew-mate. We won at the debut starting a memorable season that finished with the title".
