The official pre-season test will return to Paul Ricard after a year’s absence on April 9-10, with the French venue hosting the season opener five days later on the weekend of April 14-15.

Monza and Red Bull Ring will retain their 2016 slots, the two races taking place on May 12-13 and July 21-22 respectively.

The Silverstone race has been moved from its traditional date in April to August 17-18 to ensure it stays as a support event to sister championship WEC.

Spa-Francorchamps will hold the penultimate round of the season on September 22-23, with the championship concluding at Portimao on October 27-28.

Pierre Fillon, President of the Automobile Club de l’Ouest said: “It’s important for the ACO, promoter of the ELMS, to guarantee the best calendar possible for this high-quality championship.

“We do not forget most of the teams participating in the 24 Hours of Le Mans come from the ELMS. We find in this championship values that the endurance community and the ACO consider as very important.”
