AGREEMENT REACHED BETWEEN MATTEO BOBBI AND RACING BOX FOR 2009 LE MANS
Matteo Bobbi and team Racing Box reached an agreement for the 2009 season. The Milanese driver, winner of the 2003 FIA GT1 world championship, will take part in the next year's Le Mans Series behind the wheel of the new Lola B/09 LM P2 powered by Judd and equipped with Michelin tyres. Andrea Piccini and Mike Hezemans, Bobbi's crew-mates will be high class too.
The sportive programme schedules the participation to the 24 Hours of Le Mans and will begin in February with the first kilometers on track. Collective tests will follow on 8-9 March at Paul Ricard.
Matteo Bobbi:
'I desired for several years to take part in a high level season behind the wheel of a prototype and this is certainly the right occasion. The Lola B/09 promises to be very competitive as the whole package provided by Racing Box.
This is an important programme, ambitious and with objectives that are necessarily high. The potential is high too and I think we have all what it takes to run an excellent championship.'
